August 26, 200421 yr Good evening pilots,I have d/loaded the POSKY 757 and I would like to have a nice panel to go with it. Would you please recommend one. I am sure you have already tried few and are capable of giving a good recommendation.Thank you very much !Juliet Lima
August 26, 200421 yr I have tries a few and use Lonny Payne's.It's fairly complex if you like them that way, although not to the extent of the PSS Airbus or PMDG 737 payware panels. One great feature is that there is a co-pilot voice which responds to the common actions e.g. "Flaps 15" or "Gear Up" There is also a simple FMC which calculates take-off speeds based on the aircraft weight and sets the speed buds accordingly and causes the co-pilot to call "V1" and "Rotate" at the appropriate juncture. Always get perfect take-offs that way! Also can do complete autolandings with Flare and Roll-out.You need to apply the following files in this order.lp757v11.ziplp757u12.ziplp757fs9_122437.ziplp757pos.zipThe last combines the 2D panel with the Posky 757 VC.
August 26, 200421 yr Hi Juliet, the one and only panel (IMHO;)) is Lonny Payne's 757 panel. It's here in the library but installation can be quite complicated as there are so many upgrades. If you go to Lonny's page at http://www.fs2002panels.netfirms.com/757.htm it will guide you through the process of installing which files in the correct order. Believe me, it's worth it! Let us know if you have any difficulties.Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."
August 26, 200421 yr After installing the panel my 757s rudder gyrates like mad. Did I install something wrong? On the ground I move the rudder but the wheels and tail do not respond to my inputs. I see the rudder flapping in the wind but not responding. what did I do wrong??Oh and if somebody could help me setup a smoke effects system for the posky 757 that would be awesome too, for some reason I can't see contrails at all
August 26, 200421 yr That's the yaw damper at work. If you insist on being oustide the aircraft for the visuals you may want to turn it off until you're back in the cockpit not paying attention to what the rudder is doin. ;)
