trying to setup a network connection using hifi networked configuration outline & maybe i'am reading it wrong about modified the simconnect.xml file, can anyone tell how to modified the simconnect.xml file.

Not much info there? Open XML with a text editor (Notepad), change the value and save it. Follow HiFi tutorial.
