Random Weather Generator?

Featured Replies

With FS2002, there was a program called Weather Maker which would allow you to create random weather. Is there a similar program for FS9?Normally when I set up flights, I use real weather with dynamic updates, to give some "flava" to the flight, however, many times, the "real weather" engine can sufficiently overtax the weather system to bring the sim to it's knees, even when using FPS friendly clouds and such. The reason I use real weather is to add a "random" element to the flight. I know that I can customize my own weather settings or choose a theme, but I really don't want to do that. I'd rather just be able to hit a button, randomly set up some weather using themes, let the dynamic engine run and then fly. This will give me the constant variety that real weather now provides me without the often overkill that real weather conditions can place on the system. Any one have any ideas or suggestions?

hitake a look at simmarket.com . there is a addon called wetter 2004. i think this one fits your need. i for myself use this addon very often. you can create your weather for the whole world or just the region you want. you can set weather for any season and for any day time. it provides smooth winds and visibility transations between the local weather areas and high and low pressure areas.i own nearly any weather addon for fs2004, like as2004, fsmeteo and weathercenter, but prefer the random generated weather from wetter 2004.a demo is available.cheersron
