September 1, 200421 yr Hey guys :)Just wondering if anyone knows why the ai traffic is visible all the time, apart from during an instant replay? For example, watching a landing during an instant replay in FS9, an airport that is usually busy, appears empty, without any of the ai traffic being visible during the replay.Any reason why this happens or is it just a flightsim limitation?
September 2, 200421 yr Not so much a limitation as it was designed that way to keep FPS up during playback. Even then you'll still get a little studdering.

Even then you'll still get a little>studdering.Thats not entirely true, all the replay does is "remember" movements of your own plane, and then "play" them back in real time. The reason for this is to keep the size of the replays down, the "instructions" required to remember plane movements are small, where as a "real" video would be huge. For every AI plane you have FS would have to "remember" all the insrtuctions, so as you can imagine it would be a few instructions, in fact there would be 100% more instructions for each AI plane, so it wouldnt take many for the "instructions" to get very large.Dan.
