September 3, 200421 yr Hi guys,I'm really having trouble getting Eric Marciano's Airbus panels to work in FS2004. His A320, A330, and A340 panels were originally designed for FS2002 but Eric says on his site that they're supposed to work in FS2004 with the patch he created as well as the code provided by Pete Dowson to enable the panel to work with newer versions of FSUIPC.Well....they don't. I have multiple "missing gauge" errors all over the place and the panel is not functional.I did install correctly. I used these panels in FS2002 just fine. A320.gau, A330.gau, and A340.gau are in the FS2004/Gauges folder and everything seems to be installed exactly as instructed. But the panels refuse to work.No offense to other panel designers, but no one, no one at all, has made an A320 or A330 panel that is as functional and accurate at Eric's. In fact looking at the other options is very disappointing, so few good A320 panels. so I'd like to get these working and according to Eric they SHOULD work but they're not. I sent him an email about this problem months ago but it doesn't appear that he's going to be releasing another patch. But I see a new A320 panel online now that uses Eric's A320 gauge so SOMEONE must be getting functionality out of the panel. But how? Thanks for your help. If you can provide any. My apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't sure if it was appropriate for the panel design? forum.
September 3, 200421 yr I'm not going to be any help to you here, apart from saying that:a) I had trouble getting it to work too, so it's not just you, and:( it did work in the end.I think if you search this forum you will find other posts on the same subject.I have a registered (i.e. paid for)version of FSUIPC, you don't say whether you do and I can't remember if it needs to be a registered or free version. I should check on that. There is some sort of key that needs to be entered to release the gauges isn't there? I seem to remember that's the bit I couldn't get right.Lastly, there is a navigation database that comes with it and that needs to be set up right to get the flight plan to show.Sorry that's not help as such, but to repeat, it's not just you, it is awkward, but you can get there!
September 3, 200421 yr I got Eric's panel packaged with the A318 by Aerodesigns. Works just fine. (make sure you install the Navdata program too). I then alias'd it to the A319 and A320 by IFDG. No problems.McFly
September 3, 200421 yr I have the unregistered version of FSUIPC. For that, you simply enter this code provided by Pete Dowson and it supposedly unlocks it. It didnt. As far as NavData goes, I didnt install it because, according to Eric, it isn't needed. All that's needed is that Airbus Gauges Config, which I installed, and now I have all my information on the ND present. The problem is with the missing gauges everywhere and that the vertical horizon is always covered as well. Nothing I've tried has worked. And I don't want to risk the money on the A318 if, when i get it, I'm still having the same problem with the panel.I have the A320V22 patch from November 2003. I've entered the FSUIPC code for "A320.gau" provided by Pete Dowson. I've double-checked to ensure that gps_export.dll is the original one that came with FS2004, NOT the one included with the panel.FS9.cfg has an entry under Oldmodules for FSSOUND.DLL=1, and that airbus gauges config IS installed in FS2004/Gauges.I've done everything I've ever read for suggestions to solve this problem and nothing has worked. It makes me want to just give up on this panel but it is so frustrating to see that it IS working for some people, so there must be some way to fix it. :(
February 19, 200521 yr Hi, It's almost 5 months you posted this question and I wish you have already got the answer. If You did, please tell me, I'm experiencing the same problem.thanks!
