March 4, 201313 yr Hey guys, I have noticed this a few times when I have flown to airports with runway 'islands' surrounded by water...ie Haneda's new runway, or on a trip today to RJFU Nagasaki's rwy 32. At first I thought it was an ILS bug, but after investiagation of just simple VFR flying/approaches, it is like there is an elevation bug in the runway. I watched it on replay and it was as if over the numbers about 70-100ft high, I hit a brick wall and slam down. I wasn't decending too fast, had a nice gradual callout/decent rate, if anything, slighly above PAPI glide slope. I tried this landing the opposite direction. The runway 16 end is a little farther away from the water, no problems. I tried it in the Lancair Legacy and was putting it on the RWY 32 numbers, no problem. Has anyone else had this issue before? March 5, 201313 yr The only time I ran into an elevation issue was with TCNM from FlyTampa. They put out an update that fixed it. You could download one of the free AFCAD editors and take a look at the figures that are shown for runway elevation. Branton Turner
