The Wikipedia book of aviation is developing into a useful source of a wide range of aviation materials. It is available at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Books/Aviation.

 

It currently covers aviation history, civil and military aviation, air traffic control, piloting, aviation best practices and training, and aviation weather.

 

The book may be downloaded as a .pdf, an .odt, a .zim, read online or even ordered as a printed book.

 

An excellent and free source of information to those, in particular, wishing to broaden a basic knowledge of aviation.
