FS Genesis Meshes....Payware or not?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone...I am a bit confused about this. On the FSGenesis Website, I see 38.2m mesh for the USA on sale. But then I came to AVSIM and found the whole 38.2m mesh for the USA available freely, stating that it is the former payware version. So, why is it for sale on the FSGenesis online store?BTW, if it is also available as freeware, i'd like to get the European mesh, but I can't find it on AVSIM. I assume it must still be payware. Thanks in advance,

Hi, :)I remember reading somewhere (possibly this site) that this mesh in the Avsim library is a 'gift from the author(s) to the community'. I don't know if the version in the library is 'out of date' as it were, but IMO it is still a fantastic offer even if it is.I think that answers your question... kinda (-:

Ever so often, Justin will over his older mesh free to the community. But,if you want to get any updates to the mesh(such as corrections to reported anomolies) or get it delivered in a CD format, then ya have to buy it.-------------------Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember whatifdgsupport.jpg

It's my understanding that the meshes he uploaded to AVSIM are current as of the time they were uploaded, but will not be patched to fix any anomalies the way the payware ones are.
