PC build to FSX Accelaration

Featured Replies

Hi fellows,

First, apologise if this is not the correct place to talk about this. If so, please move or delete post and you can send me a private message with your tips.

I'm looking to build a desktop pc exclusively for FSX with the main add ons being from PMDG and Aerosoft.

For now, i have a list with this:

PSU - OCZ 700w

Motherboard - Asus sabertooth z77

CPU - Intel i5 3570k

Graphic card - Nvidia GeForce GTX 660Ti 2gb  OR  ATI Radeon HD 7870 2gb (big doubt here at the moment)

Cooler - Corsair H100

RAM - 8gb or 16gb GSkill 2400

Hard drive - western digital black edition 1TB

Drive - SSD OCZ 128gb

I don't need a super machine to run 50fps or something.. Just something to get a stable 30-40.. or at least 30fps.

And capable of running a few add-ons together like rex or active sky, scenery, pmdg, aerosoft, etc.. without "exploding"..

I'm looking at prices on Amazon.co.uk because I live in Europe.

I'm also not the best "expert" when it comes to hardware. This list is based on searches I did on google, forums, fellow simmers and youtube.. I would be very gratefull if someone from this forum with experience on building PC's or good knowledge on hardware for PC gaming come and leave some info.

Thank you.
