  1. Yep, it went away. Solved! But another arised: I downloaded some liveries from pmdg website for the FSX version and when I run the installer file (using admin mode) it starts to load as normal and then I choose "modify" since I don't want to "repair" or "remove". However when I go to FSX and select aircraft, I can only see PMDG liveries and not the ones I've installed. I also ticked "show all variations" under PMDG section and nothing. Also tried "Show all" to see all the aircraft and all liveries I have for FSX and nothing again.. Where are they going? I guess nowhere because when I check the aircraft cfg the livery text it's not there..
  2. Suddenly I got this problem on my md-11 screens. Looks like the fonts are not fully stretched trough all the screen. However, this "black straps" on the side only appear when on 2D cockpit. I wouldn't be much concerned if I was mainly VC user, but since I don't have a very good machine to do so, I use 2d more often. I've already sent a ticket to pmdg and they advised me to uninstall and re-install again which I already did but still have the same problem. And yes, I did everything in admin mode and follow all their instructiuons. Did anyone ever had the same issue?
  3. Hi fellows, First, apologise if this is not the correct place to talk about this. If so, please move or delete post and you can send me a private message with your tips. I'm looking to build a desktop pc exclusively for FSX with the main add ons being from PMDG and Aerosoft. For now, i have a list with this: PSU - OCZ 700w Motherboard - Asus sabertooth z77 CPU - Intel i5 3570k Graphic card - Nvidia GeForce GTX 660Ti 2gb OR ATI Radeon HD 7870 2gb (big doubt here at the moment) Cooler - Corsair H100 RAM - 8gb or 16gb GSkill 2400 Hard drive - western digital black edition 1TB Drive - SSD OCZ 128gb I don't need a super machine to run 50fps or something.. Just something to get a stable 30-40.. or at least 30fps. And capable of running a few add-ons together like rex or active sky, scenery, pmdg, aerosoft, etc.. without "exploding".. I'm looking at prices on Amazon.co.uk because I live in Europe. I'm also not the best "expert" when it comes to hardware. This list is based on searches I did on google, forums, fellow simmers and youtube.. I would be very gratefull if someone from this forum with experience on building PC's or good knowledge on hardware for PC gaming come and leave some info. Thank you.
  4. Hi fellows, I'm starting to build my pc or at least searching for the best parts.. I'm thinking on buying on amazon.co.uk since I live in Europe. Do you think it's safe to buy expensive material online? If so, is amazon any good on that? Anyone used it before or used another supplier online? Thank you.
  5. thanks hopskip
  6. Ok, will have a look
  7. I was wondering... wouldn't be great to get a small pack of missions (maybe 2 or 3) together with the new upcoming B777? Similar to tutorials, but with specific targets.. eg: your first mission is to complete 2 short flights, another mission could be a visual approach, cat III landing..etc.. Maybe is a stupid idea, but it's free to share.. Angelo Laranjeira
  8. Hi everyone, I'm showing you this screenshot so you can see the kind of problem I have only with Ryanair livery. If I select any other, ngx works fine. But with Ryanair ones, either from PMDG website or avsim library this happens. Any idea why? Thank You in advance. Angelo Laranjeira
  9. Well, I did the installation again and re-downloaded the liveries I wanted. Now it seems that all 737-900 liveries, with WL or not, work fine. The problem stills only with the -800's series, both with WL or not. I've checked again cfg files and compared with -900 ones and there's nothing different related to liveries or gauges.. still don't know what to do..
  10. Hi guys, Well, I tried to upload a pic to show you better my problem with 737ngx liveries but i was unable to post by the system don't know why. Anyway, what happens is that i had to uninstall 737ngx a few months ago because of a problem on my laptop. I also had to uninstall other PMDG add-ons such as B747 and MD-11. I followed all the steps explained here on the forum about a proper uninstall of pmdg software, meaning: I runned the .exe file always with Admin Mode, I deleted the lines related to PMDG on fsx.cfg file etc.. When I installed the same add-ons again, they all worked fine except the 737NGX. The default PMDG livery works fine on FSX and the cockpit shows perfect. However, when i downloaded some liveries I used to have from PMDG website and running them on the Livery Manager and install normally on the system apparently. But when I open FSX and select B737 with the liveryI want, the same shows faulty.. I hear engines running but the fans don't rotate, screens shows black, missing buttons with black squares on it instead, etc.. The external paintjob looks fine, the problem it's on the inside. I can't use any features of the cockpit because i have no buttons or gauges.. I have all the updates installed in admin mode and all. I've been searching for someone with the same problem on google but found nothing. Could this be any .dll file problem or something? I've installed everything the same way as I did the first time when all was working fine. I got new add-ons after purchasing these PMDG ones but everything was working fine together even after getting new add-ons, until i had to uninstall some pmdg software. I don't know if that matters, but the other aircraft add-ons I have are from Aerosoft (Airbus X), QW (B757), CaptainSim (B767), CLS (A330/340). However, as I said, before i had to uninstall, pmdg was working perfect together with all these add-ons. Any ideas? Thank you very much in advance. Angelo Gomes
  11. i assume you are talking about the Abacus one.. I know that one but it's just a big piece of rubbish with no realism. I still respect a lot those who spent time developing it because I don't know how to do it. However, when I buy something I'm looking for a very good quality. If you are not talking about Abacus, well then I will just shut up ..
  12. Ok, I know that asking for a B787 it's too much already.. I was just curious if any company was thinking in doing one. I believe PMDG will be the one doing it later and will probably be the best one (knowing how good the previous products are). Anyway, A bit "off-topic": I don't want to deviate the subject of this topic but till today I haven't find any A330/A340 good enough that was worth to buy it.. The most "decent" ones I know are from wilco and CLS. Is there any other company working on them? Thanks a lot for your opinions. Ângelo Laranjeira
  13. Hi all, I was wondering if PMDG would release a B787 simulation like 737ngx, b747, b777, etc.. in the future? I know they are busy with the B777 right now, but anyone knows if that's a "acheavable" project? Thanks in advance.. Ângelo Laranjeira
  14. Well, I tried once again to uninstall and re-installed exactly as I did last time but this time it worked :) so my 737 it's "in tha house" again! I would like to take this oppurtunity to say to all the people working on the PMDG systems that you are doing a TERRIFIC job!! I have 737, 747 and MD-11 from PMDG and I absolutely love it! very impressed with so much realism! As i work as cabin crew supervisor on a b737 i have the chance to enter and see all details of the flight deck every day and PMDG released a very good product. Congratulations!! looking forward for the b777 ;)
  15. ok, thanks for your time ;)
  16. Hi guys, I have 737ngx for almost 1 year now and always worked fine. But now from one day to the other, I can't use it because i have no buttons or "software" loaded when I select it on FSX. Nothing happens with the FSX, it works normally with other aircraft including other PMDG products such as 747 and MD-11 which I also have. I'm sure I didn't change anything on my configs or desinstall something either.. I don't know what happened, just know it's not working as before. It used to appear that green bar with a 15seconds countdown, on the top of the screen when starting, meaning the system was loading but now nothing appears.. the main panel shows up but has no buttons to engage or anything and the aircraft is NOT on cold and dark because my aircrafts never start with cold and dark config when I start FSX. In fact, the engines are running.. I've read in the forum that normally this kind of things may have to do with DLL files or something, but as I said, I didn't change anything for months or more and I've installed other PMDG products and also other add-ons from other brands and all together have been working fine until now. So, I have no idea about what's happening now. I've already desinstalled and installed again 737 ngx with all the latest directX and DLL files and the problem keeps happening. I hope some of you can find an explanation or if any of you experienced the same already .. Thanks a lot!! Angelo Gomes
