Default airports

Featured Replies

How can I reinstall all default airports. It seems to me I'm missing some. Thanks Bob

Have you tried inserting FS2004 CD1 and see if it has a reinstall option? If not, and you really think you are missing airports, your only other option may be to uninstall and reinstall. If you have a lot of addons, I recommend making a copy of the entire Flight Simulator 9 folder, rename the copy FS2004OLD. Uninstall FS2004 via the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs menu. Once uninstalled, use Windows Explorer to delete any residual Flight Simulator 9 folders (NOT FS2004OLD). Reinstall FS2004 to the same diskdrive location, start FS2004, let it stabilize, and ensure it is working properly. If it is working properly, copy your addons from FS2004OLD to the new installation Flight Simulator 9 folders. If you think you can determine which airports are missing, you can always use an unzipping program to extract the files from your FS2004 CDs and place the files in the appropiate folder in the Flight Simulator 9 folders.W. W.Sieffert, Thanks for your reply. Kind of did what you suggested. I renamed FS9 to FS9old. Reinstalled FS9 took the scenery folder out of the new install and put it in the FS9old. Then deleted new install. And yes I was missing alot of airports in my area( Detroit ) now I have them back. Thanks again, Bob McDuff
