NO ATC APPROACH VIOCE MESSAGES

Featured Replies

For some reason when flying an IFR flight. I do not recieve the voice of the controller when they are issuing me the landing runway information. It is being issued but just not heard. Anyone else had this problem.

Do you hear any ATC voice information, i.e., clearance delivery, taxi instructions, takeoff instructions, etc.? If not, you probably are missing the Compressed Audio Codecs. Search the Tips and Tricks Sub-forum at the top of this forum, using No ATC, Lost ATC, No Voices.W. Sieffert

That is quite strange. Have you used Editvoicepack to update *.gvp sound files. Maybe the file got corrupted. Rename the two *.gvp files to *.ORIG, extract the default files from your FS2004 CDs, and place in the Sound folder. Once installed, select a flight, and see if the problem is corrected.W. Sieffert

Thanks for your help but I re-installed fs and now all is ok. Guess I'll never know. But your interest was appreciated. Fly safe.Graham SumnerUKRoute developer
