April 12, 201313 yr Hi all. I posted this question in the scenery forum a couple of weeks ago but got no response so thought I'd try here where us traditionalists hang out. Since tidying up my user and AI aircraft I started experimenting with some payware airports which were short of mipmaps and decided to take a picture of something I've often noticed but never investigated- the effect had by some chainlink fences. The fence texture is just a plain 8 bit bmp. The user and AI planes are identical- they're both Microsoft's original C172. The effect has been apparent for as long as I remember but it seems some objects don't cause it. What is it about the fence that allows AI to respond correctly to the fence's transparency while the player aircraft won't? Cheers, D
