September 25, 200421 yr Louis,There is a complete description on using the FS9 ATC in the Learning Center-- Windows Explorer(fs9 main folder)FSwebLearning CenterAir Traffic Control--has numerous files (htm type) you can open, print, etc. You can also access the ATC info from within FS9 via the HELP menu item. Use the tilde (~) key (listed on the keyboard assignments for FS9--either on the kneeboard page or in the FS9 main folder)to open the ATC menu while in FS9 and bring up the selections for tuning COM radios, making radio calls, etc. There is a learning curve but it really is not too steep.HTH,Paul
September 25, 200421 yr LouisI just realised that your headphones are USB, which is more susceptible to RF (Radio Frequency) interference. Press q while in FS9 and see if the voices go away.David
September 25, 200421 yr I will do that and if the voices don't go away I'm going to see a psychiatrist. :-)Louiw
September 25, 200421 yr "I will do that and if the voices don't go away I'm going to see a psychiatrist."I think a pair of high pass filters would work better and be a lot cheaper. David
September 25, 200421 yr DavidFirst off he could try a ferrite ring on the headphones (or speaker) leadsDave
September 25, 200421 yr I have the same experience here with my 5.1 sound system connected to my computer. Sometimes I pick up a radio station somehow...The sound is very faint - and no, I'm not the only one hearing them:-lol You could have something very simular I guess.Hope that helps,Cheers,Claudio
September 26, 200421 yr You have to clarify what exactly the fainted sounds are. you hear.If you hear ATC-instructions accompanied by voices in the background, this is quite normal as in real life, where operators are talking at the background while your operator is transmitting his instructions to you.Paddy.
