Hi all,

 

I recently installed the PMDG 737 NGX base pack. Engine sounds, & button clicks are present and ambient FSX sounds. However altitude callout sounds are not present, even though I have turned them on in the option menu via the CDU. Also missing are some of the other sounds I would expect t o hear, like the fire warning bell, and the A/T autopilot disconnect tones. On the ground with engines shut down,  the whine of the recirc. valve ventilation is sometimes there, sometimes not.

 

Are there any simple solutions other than to re-install?

You need to go into the PMDG options in the CDU, into the sound menu and select your speakers/headphones.

I'm having the same problem but when I go into the sound menu on the CDU there's nothing there under the "Device" button.  I have a headset connected and am using the mb onboard sound.

Thnaks for the replies. I went to the sound menu, but like suvvers, I found nothing listed under 'devices' - just a blank page.
