May 7, 201313 yr The Virtual Coast Guard is accepting new members, we are a group of Flight Simulator and aviation ethuasit who conduct SAR, drug interdiciton, and oil rig operations within MS FSX. We started in 2011, and have grown adn shrunk since the demise of Gamespy. We currently have 10 active members and 16 retired members who have moved on to either real world training or starting a family. We are always looking for new members who are knowledgeable, professional, and eager to fly. We have a rigorus flight training program with an accpetance rate of 6.5% (based off from 450 application), we fly over 2000 hours and condcut over 300 missions per year. We utilize MS Flight Simulator X for our day to day operations. The main focus for the Virtual Coast Guard is Homeland Security, Search and Rescues, Oil Rig Operations/Inspections, free flying, and having fun. The Virtual Coast Guard employs a nice fleet of aircraft which can be found in the hangar section of our website, the Virtual Coast Guard is not a place to learn how to fly*. It is however the place to be to expand your current flight simulator knowledge. Current Virtual Coast Guard members range from active, retired, and reserve statuses with military forces all across the world, Civil Air Patrol cadets, ROTC cadets, and security / law enforcement personnel.
