FSX Flight Recorder Playback and default lights

I have recorded a few flights (Cessna 172) flying around Ottawa and

other North American Cities.

My FSX is Gold Acceleration and I have installed GEX North America.

When I play back the flight records, my Artificial Horizon and my turn/bank indicator

do NOT move (even though they were moving properly during the flight itself.)

I have unchecked the box for Lights operated manually by pilot, hoping

the lights would come on on night flights. But, no, I have to turn the yoke almost to get my mouse to click on the aircraft lights.

Is there a setting I could configure in  a .cfg file since the GUI won't do it?
