  1. After working perefectly for a couple of years, the Golden Gate Bridge has disappeared. Road traffic continues to run (in the air or so it seems.) Then I tried the default scenery RIO. Everything is nice, but the cannot-be-missed-if-it's-there statue of Christ the Redeemer just is not there. Then I noticed that, even though quite a bit of scenery was added, if I try Free Flight and select Add-on Scenery, there's nothing in the list. I need to fly on default scenery (even though I spent quite a bit of $$$ on scenery add-ons.
  2. Gibraltar followed by SFO
  3. I have recorded a few flights (Cessna 172) flying around Ottawa and other North American Cities. My FSX is Gold Acceleration and I have installed GEX North America. When I play back the flight records, my Artificial Horizon and my turn/bank indicator do NOT move (even though they were moving properly during the flight itself.) I have unchecked the box for Lights operated manually by pilot, hoping the lights would come on on night flights. But, no, I have to turn the yoke almost to get my mouse to click on the aircraft lights. Is there a setting I could configure in a .cfg file since the GUI won't do it? Thanks
  4. And I have just (a few days ago) purchased MSFX Gold and the Saitek yoke, throttle, trim wheel and rudder pedals. I only have some 10 hours on it. :-( or :-)
  5. Thanks Andy. I've just registered there. I'm very new to all this and I'll try to read all I can before I start asking questions which probably, have already been answered elsewhere or at another time. Cheers
  6. I have FSX and yesterday received the GENX DVD for North America. Installed OK. Updated to latest version (1.095 if memory serves) then I flew a flight that I fly often enough (almost 10 hours for the 10' flight from CYRP to CYRO For this route I fly over the city of Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) but the only difference I noted in the scenery was that there were more trees and better defined vegetation. No recognizable City view. Did I just throw some good money away? I also received but have not installed yet, the Africa & Middle East GEN X but have not installed it yet. I want to fly around the Pyramids and hope that GEN X can show me better details of the area (and Cairo, a city I know well.) Is it just the vegetation that gets clearer with those installations? I haven't tried the light of Vegas yet. Cheers
