I have FSX and yesterday received the GENX DVD for North America.

Installed OK. Updated to latest version (1.095 if memory serves)

then I flew a flight that I fly often enough (almost 10 hours for

the 10' flight from CYRP to CYRO

 

For this route I fly over the city of Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) but

the only difference I noted in the scenery was that there were more trees

and better defined vegetation. No recognizable City view.

 

Did I just throw some good money away?

 

I also received but have not installed yet, the Africa & Middle East GEN X

but have not installed it yet. I want to fly around the Pyramids and hope that

GEN X can show me better details of the area (and Cairo, a city I know well.)

 

Is it just the vegetation that gets clearer with those installations?

I haven't tried the light of Vegas yet.
