November 3, 201312 yr If you had to pick one airport as your absolute best airport in fsx which one would you choose and why? Please do not post answers like anything by X company etc. List only your ultimate top airport and why you selected it. You may list runner-ups, but the point is to list your favorite. Right now my current favorite is likely flightbeam's kiad. The main attraction to me is the looks of it. Also, it is fairly easy to taxi on and hard to get lost. Unfortunately I do not run many flights there. I do tend to use fsdt kjfk a whole lot since that is my hub. I enjoy klax from fsdt as well, so those would be my runner's up.
November 3, 201312 yr Flightbeam's Phoenix Sky Habor is my favorite airport that I own. The level of detail and texture work is outstanding and the airport overall design to begin with is just interesting to look at. Everytime I load it up I see some new little detail I didn't notice before. It's a treasure of an airport. November 3, 201312 yr Aerosoft Approaching Innsbruck for me. While it is fairly old already, it has an excellent performance, and I really love the atmosphere of that airport surrounded by mountains. Also, this airport offers a nice mixture of a "standard" and a quite challenging approach. Besides, I like that this scenery also includes the city of Innsbruck itself, which is directly under the approach path to RWY 26. Runners up might be FlyTampa Saint Martin and. Kai Tak for similar reasons: challenge combined with beautiful scenery, but as Innsbruck is in my home country, that one is my number 1. Florian

November 3, 201312 yr ORBX Jackson Hole: Pretty surroundings, accurate airport, a sometimes challenging approach. AS Approaching Innsbruck: same as above...approach a bit more interesting Neal Howard
November 3, 201312 yr St Barths, which is included in FlyTampa St Marteen. If I could have just one airport it would be it. Never get tired of doing the Sugar Loaf approach. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
November 3, 201312 yr I am strongly considering picking up saint martin as my next purchase. It's an excellent addon -just make sure to get the "Complete" version, which also includes Saba and St Barth's at an only slightly higher price. And those two airports are a great challenge as well! Florian
November 3, 201312 yr PAJN. The VOR 08 approach is a fun challenge. That and obviously the scenery is just beautiful.
November 3, 201312 yr Princess Juliana is really cool, challenging approach and excellent scenery from FlyTampa. Tampa International Airport by FlyTampa is a close second just because it is my home airport. Samuel Scully
November 3, 201312 yr There are so many quality airport developers out there now that it is really difficult to choose the 'best airport'. Like many who have posted above, I too appreciate an airport that provides slightly more of a challenge and for this Fly Tampa Hong Kong Kai Tak must win for me for it's superb Hong Kong scenery and classic 'Checkerboard Approach'. It only wins by a hair's breadth however, as Fly Tampa St Maarten Complete would be an extremely close second place, with great scenery and Princess Juliana providing a challenging take-off for a fully loaded heavy and both St Barts and Saba providing amazingly challenging landings for smaller commuter type and GA aircraft. My list of runners up could go on forever, so I won't even start! Bill
