    Sorry for my delay in replying  It WAS the FlexNet that had been disabled. Set it to automatic and problem went away.

    Solved I think:
     
    I MAY have stumbled onto the cause of all this: The starboard engine starting properly threw me off the track
    Someone SIPHONED OFF ALL MY FUEL. It was there when the crew left the plane but gone when we returned.
    After refueling, things were back to normal. This is a sweet bird
    Still don't see how Stbd engine could start on empty tanks though.
