I have the Pro Clip but do not use it. After trying it for a bit I got tired of the extra wires and the sheer size of the thing. Plus: it is much lower than the clip and with a tall monitor the camera would not work properly on top of the monitor. The clip works just fine. Track Clip Pro anyone? Cheap, used less than an hour -)

I don't believe it is an ORBX problem but I will take it to their forum.. All my other ORBX airports are good which makes me believe there is an additional .bgl or other items from the default Friday Harbor that is causing it. This is the only airport that I have found with this "shadow" marker.

Bump for Help Please

It looks as if two different sets of markings are being applied. I have ORBX Friday Harbor installed. Is it possible that the default KHFR is interfering? The centerlines are duplicated in faded markings to the right side.

I was able to fix that problem by installing Zinertek HD Airport Graphics. I have use it for several years but did not realize it also installs into P3D.

Runways and markings are not sharply defined. They are a bit blurry and from the air are not clearly defined. Runway taxi markings are also too pale to see unless they are directly in front. Other scenery and buildings appear normal. Is there some setting that I am missing? Graphics card is Nvidia GTX1060 at 1920x1080 (or 1980x1020) Monitor is 35" Vizio FPS normally 35-55

When I had that problem it was because Flexnet Licensing Services (in Services) had been stopped.

:blush2: Really hate to have to ask this one. Trying to set up Plan-g and was surprised that I could not find the file. I checked the P3D folder, then apps/Roaming/....., apps/local/.... but could not find it. Someone pretending to be Neal Howard

Sorry Jim but my problem was only with PAKT (I just looked it up) and this s what fixed it for me: From ORBX: " Check for ModuleInstaller.exe in \ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_AA_PAKT\Scenery. If so right-click on that and then run as administrator.​" Maybe this will help but now I'm just not certain. At least it will not hurt anything Neal Howard

Jim: This happened to me some time back and as best I can remember: Go to the ORBX Directory in FSX/P3D/whichever and open the first folder (the "AU" one, then open "scenery". There is an .exe file in it configure.exe or something like that. Run it as admin. Once I did that the problem was solved. Sorry I cannot be more precise but I am not able to get to my PC at the moment. Note: there is only one ORBX folder whose Scenery subfolder has the .exe described above. In my case it was the first one. Regards Neal Howard

It is very easy to put it beneath the table/desktop. I mounted two wood strips the height and length of the yoke (approx, 4"x7")--far enough apart to slide the yoke between them. I then screwed two strips across the yoke to hold it in place. BUT I also put a 1" shim at the back to tilt the yoke upwards a bit. Mine has been set like this for a year or so. Works like charm Neal Howard

My PC is running FSX-Steam exclusively. The boxed version was never installed on it. Please clarify the statement: " Dovetail Steam Edition is supported only insofar as the DX10 Shaders and interface remain the same as in the Gold Edition " I finally got around to trying DX10 preview (kicking myself for waiting so long). It generally looks MUCH improved but has the various problems the Fixer is said to eliminate. Does the DX Shades/interface mentioned mean that it works only partially in FSX-SE? Looking forward for the answer and hope to get a green light for getting it for my rig Regards Neal Howard

Thanks for the explanations. I was hoping that somewhere in the fsx.cfg (or some other cfg) there would be some adjustment. Not a real problem but in some planes it makes me a bit claustrophobic (big word...wanted to see if I could spell it ) Regards Neal Howard.

I have tried several zoom levels setting up the pilot/co-pilot view but they always seem too close to the panel. If the pilot view right and is properly aligned with the right seat then he is almost touching the panel. Setting a "proper" panel view puts the pilot too far aft. I have flown several of these planes as a pilot and know that I have not got the correct pilot-to-panel distance. Monitor is a 35" Vizeo widescreen TV and fsx.cfg is set to widescreen and OPUS is the only viewing system I use (no TrackIR).. Any help appreciated Regards to all Neal Howard

Is there some way to sharpen the text? As it is, I must zoom about halfway from pilot seat to the panels in order to read them. Admittedly, my eyes aren't as sharp as in earlier times , but no other plane is this bad. The screen is a 35" Vizeo flat widescreen screen TV.. FSX.cfk has Max resolutions set to 4096x4096 Any help appreciated regards to all Neal Howard

Don't go down that road. I tried to replace Win 10 ( that came pre-installed) with win 7. I tried every trick to get it on a different partition but Win 10 blocked it very time. I then reformatted the Win 10 partition thinking I could now install win 7. Long story short: I now have a laptop that will boot enough to get to BIOS, boot from a USB chip, or DVD. Unfortunately, every attempt to install Win 7 gets to the "INSTALL" point and a popup: A DEVICE DRIVER IS MISSING, CDROM DVD BLAH, BLAH.." and that is where it is today waiting for my next attempt.

After a full reinstall of Win 7 I installed FSX Steam. All was well for several months but now I am constantly getting new problems with the sim. Things like "Error ID = 28 Unable to install message filter", Steam pops up/disappears, etc. So, my question is should I uninstall all of Steam, FSX, etc and then install FSX ? Otherwise, how about installing FSX on a separate drive and leaving Steam? I had high hopes for Steam but it doesn't help much when problems arise. About the only fix(temporary) is to revalidate files .....usually 2 or more need to be corrected

I'll add my 2 cent worth. I was lucky enough to fly a few hours in the C-54 back in the late '50s-early '60s. To me, all jets sound alike, feel alike, but planes like the C-54, C-47 have that great sound and feel to them. A B-47 is just noise inside while those other birds let you actually enjoy the sound and the feel when throttles are adjusted and trim is changed. Plus, you actually had to FLY an approach, usually a GCA, because ILS were few and far between. Argggghh...Take me back to the good old days

I totally reinstalled everything (including OS) a few montha ago and went with FSX Steam exclusively. Very few problems and NONE with PMDG Basic or Expansion before. As of yesterday: When I load any version (700, 800, 900} there is a popup requiring me to enter my key. I do that and it validates it. Sometimes after that, everything works normally but usually the following: no buttons, switches work, or CDU goes black when I opt for any panel state. Worst case though is FSX just closes instantly and I am back to the desktop. Anyone know what is causing this? Absolutely no changes or software added in a week or more. After going exclusively to FSX-Steam I downloaded a new installer and had no problems at all..
