  1. Has anyone else had issues with graphics card crashing and recovering then P3D getting a fatal error? I am running the latest version of P3D v3 and for some reason my graphic card crashes approximately 5 minutes after loading the sim then recovers and when it recovers I my screen comes back to P3D blacked out and eventually getting a fatal error. At first I thought it might be an issue with my drivers but this only seems to happen when I am using this aircraft, I can hop in my A2A C182 and fly with no issues.
  2. Unfortunately I cannot. I am just going off what I have read on the release notes. I'm not too fond of the G1000 and don't really own any of the aircraft they made with the G1000 cockpits.
  3. I have noticed that all the aircraft that are getting 2.0 versions are ones with G1000 cockpits. I think it is mostly to add the weather radar into them and fix small bugs related to the G1000.
  4. My experience is they will speak the native language of the flight crew/orgin, the language spoken at the destination (usually), and English. I live in Germany and all my flights within Germany the flight crew made announcements in German and English. When I fly back to the states (usually on Delta) the flight crew makes the announcements in English then in German. When I flew to Tokyo from Vienna on Austrian Airlines they made the announcements in German, English, and Japanese.
  5. It isn't even just flight sim. There are a few other forums I am a member of that have nothing to do with flight sim and it is the same thing. Or just look on Youtube comments, it seems to be the default way of discrediting someone no matter the community or topic.
  6. Why is age always used as something against people? I see this used as an argument all the time. "You are under this age?" or even just "I assume you are younger than me so that makes your argument invalid". I am 24, what does that have to do with anything? Does knowing that I am 24 now put some value to my argument now? Because I am over 18 am I now "immune" from becoming a ###### or making stupid remarks? I understand that the older you get the more experienced you are and that is supposed to make you more mature but I see cases where there are fan boys who are 60+ years old. I can think of a few topics on this forum and others where guys in their 60s and 70s were acting like children over something stupid. So why do people insist on using someone's age as a way to disqualify or lessen their argument when their age has nothing to do with the topic? EDIT: I find it funny that the word "fan-boy" is censored. Is that intentional or just a quirk of this forum?
  7. Looks like I installed it to the wrong folder without realizing it. All good now!
  8. Yes, there were some residual folders left over which I figured were still there because of a few addons so I deleted it.
  9. Was having some issues with P3Dv3 crashing so I decided to do a fresh install and start clean in order to identify the problem. I went through and uninstalled all the addons I had then finally uninstalling P3D itself when I went to re-install it did not install the exe, only the associated folders (i.e. "Autogen" folder, "SimObjects" folder, etc.). I went to the P3D website and downloaded the latest verson of P3Dv3 and tried again, but nothing. I have tried searching for solutions but so far haven't found anything. Does anyone have any ideas what the issue could be? I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and I am making sure I am running everything as an Administrator.
  10. Haha, yeah I saw that guide. I tried it (or at least I did my best to follow it) and it didn't work for me. I'll give it another try but not getting my hopes up.
  11. Good luck, I have been digging through lots of forum posts but no luck yet. Everything I have found talks about having v2 installed.
  12. So I have P3Dv3 and would like to install Ezdok camera as it is one of the most important addons I use. I have seen lots of people go through a whole process of installing it by doing some trick with installing it into v2 then moving it over. I do not have v2 installed right now and I don't really feel like installing it just to install one addon. Has anyone come up with a way to get Ezdok working in v3 without having v2 installed?
  13. I have spent a few hours digging through different forums and google searches but have come up empty (maybe I suck at searching). Does anyone know if there is a RXP GNS 530/430 config set up for Manfred Jahn's DC-3/C-47 v2? I recently started flying this plane and really enjoy it (probably the best freeware I have ever used) however I would really prefer to use the RXP GNS systems. Is there one already made out there that I just haven't found? Or is there someone here that is more talented than me who is willing to do the integration? Thanks.
  14. Anyone know of a good Shorts 360 available for FSX? Only one I've been able to find is by Premier Aircraft and it doesn't look too bad but it is a little dated and if there is something newer out there I would like to give it a try.
  15. I am one of the people who really don't like that rule. I don't mind giving my first name but I use a shortened nickname of my last name because my last name is very unique (if you meet anyone with my last name then I can guarantee I am related to them) and it would be very easy to find lots of results for me if you Googled my first and last name. The line of work I am in it would just be a very bad idea to put my full last name out on the internet so I try to minimize how many places I post it on.
  16. We need a quality, in depth 757 already. The 757 is still in service with lots of airlines and a very common aircraft to see in the skies. The only two produced for FSX right now is the Quality Wings which is good but it is a little dated and is only 'lite' when it comes to systems and the Captain Sim version is, well, Captain Sim (need I say more?).
  17. I am in the same position as you, looking to replace my aging Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant for something more serious and reliable. Based on all the reviews and research I've done I decided I am going to go with the PFC yoke and throttle quadrant. The reviews I read/watched on the GoFlight were good, but the PFC seems to have just a little bit extra that makes it slightly better. One of the big selling points for me was the PFC throttle quadrant can be changed out with different kinds of throttles (twin engine jet, twin engine prop, TPM, etc.) rather easily which I really like because I enjoy flying many different kinds of aircraft and having the ability to change my throttle quadrant to reflect what I am flying in the sim is really cool in my opinion. Only downside is the throttle sets are kind of expensive so that is extra money I will have to spend.
  18. Yes, call them out if you want. I'm not saying people shouldn't speak their opinion but there is a time and a place. The person who started this thread was simply saying that he purchased the aircraft and was enjoying it, but apparently some people think that is an invitation to start the ranting. I have made some bad purchases from Carenado myself and I am by no means defending them but this is getting out of hand. Ripping people off? Nobody is forcing you to buy a product from a company that has a poor reputation. Pretty much everyone in this forum is aware of Carenado's reputation so if they want to continue to buy $30-$40 aircraft from them then let them. They know the risk associated with buying a Carenado aircraft and they are obviously okay with it. One day I would like to be able to read a thread from a guy who is enjoying an aircraft he paid for without having people come in and start saying how Carenado is the worst FS company and is stealing people's money and should go out of business. You can start your own thread, no need to hijack someone else's.
  19. Will there ever be a thread on this forum about a Carenado product that isn't hijacked by anti-Carenado crusaders? Ok we got it, they don't make PMDG quality products, lots of their products were released with serious bugs, they focus more on "eye candy" than realism. I think it has been repeated enough on these forums that the whole world knows. Have you guys ever considered that some people still enjoy their aircraft despite these points? Just because you have bad experiences with their aircraft doesn't mean that everyone else does. I'm tired of every single Carenado thread getting hijacked by people complaining about Carenado, let people enjoy the product they paid for.
  20. Yeah I have been planning on buying a PFC throttle quadrant and yoke, I just wanted to keep this Saitek working a few months longer until I have the money saved up to make the purchase.
  21. No luck with that solution either. However while messing around with it I found that if I leave the lever about half a centimeter back from the full up position it shows the axis as full up without bouncing around. So I guess the temporary solution I will use is sticking something at the top of the quadrant to stop the flaps lever from advancing past that point. I also forgot to mention that I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
  22. Unfortunately no luck with that solution. Any other ideas anyone?
  23. I have had the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and throttle quadrant for about 3 years now and it has been working fairly well up until a few months ago. The issue is the X Rotation will not retract all the way. I will have the lever all the way in the up position but as you can see in the screenshots below it is showing it as partially down and will bounce back and forth rapidly. This is the axis I use for my flaps and it makes it next to impossible to retract my flaps all the way. When I advance my throttle (Z Axis) the bouncing usually stops once it reaches the 50-75 mark. I tried reinstalling the drivers and calibrating the yoke and throttle quadrant but nothing seems to fix it. I have a registered copy of the latest version of FSUIPC 4 and have tried calibrating it through that as well but still run into the same issue. Is there anyone that can help me fix this? I want to fly but it kind of takes all the fun out of it when your equipment isn't working properly.
  24. As I said in my other posts people were already trash talking the product and Carenado within hours of a release when they hadn't even purchased the product. Based on the reviews I have seen so far I would not purchase the Hawker and if I had been one of the people who did pay for it expecting something much nicer I would be pretty upset too. However, this is not the case with most of the people on here. They most likely got burned when they bought the Phenom or the Citation which were pretty awful (I was one of those people) and now they are upset. I find it strange that everyone here complains about Carenado's reputation of building eye candy aircraft with no systems functionality but then complains when Carenado doesn't "deliver". Carenado is delivering what they have always been delivering, nothing has changed and I would have thought everyone here would have learned that by now.
