P3Dv3 Re-install Issue

Featured Replies

Was having some issues with P3Dv3 crashing so I decided to do a fresh install and start clean in order to identify the problem. I went through and uninstalled all the addons I had then finally uninstalling P3D itself when I went to re-install it did not install the exe, only the associated folders (i.e. "Autogen" folder, "SimObjects" folder, etc.). I went to the P3D website and downloaded the latest verson of P3Dv3 and tried again, but nothing. I have tried searching for solutions but so far haven't found anything. Does anyone have any ideas what the issue could be?

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and I am making sure I am running everything as an Administrator.

After you uninstalled everything, did you manually delete the P3D folder?

Yes, there were some residual folders left over which I figured were still there because of a few addons so I deleted it.

I have had issues installing V3.1 it kept coming up with some error and stopping the install, several people have reported this to LM,my answer came from a member who had to install the program by using the install client, install contents, install scenery files and not using the P3d setup file, worked for me,the sim runs great,it might just work for you,But I still cant get v3.1 to install using the setup file despite re downloading the sim twice

Looks like I installed it to the wrong folder without realizing it. All good now!
