FS9 issues, pre and post patch

Featured Replies

I'm hoping someone can help me with this...Recently, I've started having a strange lock up with FS where I'll get a "Microsoft Flight Simulator 9.0 has encountered a problem and needs to close" message, and the textures all go away, but I can still fly around as long as I don't click on the "Don't Send" or "Send Error Report" message. Anyone ever had this before? Some background info.No recent installations, and it's only when I'm around the southern tip of Manhattan. This is pre-patch, and post-patch.No addons that haven't worked fine before. The Error Details message includes the following:Error details:A fatal error occuredError Signature:AppName: fs9.exe AppVer: 9.1.0.40901 ModName: fs.dllModVer: 9.1.0.40901 Offset: 0000326a

Try renaming the fs.dll and reinstalling the program (don't uninstall first).

I did a "duplicate file remover "program to remove some dup textures, an did something majorly wrong, as FS9 CTD on the startup loading, if I rename the fs.dll, and do a reinstall of Fs, will I save the MANY freeware and payware now in the present program (unworking program)??? Wat about deleting the scenery. config folder, I read somewhere that FS recreates this on startup?? True?? any suggestions on a fix, short of complete reinstall, would be greatly appreciated!! B42L8
