October 16, 200421 yr Ive run into a problem after installing FS9.1 Update. Flightsim flashes splashscreen briefly and then quits. It will not start. I went to the root folder to find file "fs9updateuninstall.exe" so i could uninstall the update and try again. The file is not there. Searched my computer and can't find it. Could somebody post the file so I can uninstall the update.I would like to get the Sim running again. Thanks for any help...Donn
October 16, 200421 yr First, check the Flight Simulator 9Modules folder and see if the majority of the default modules have a 9/1/2004 date. If so, the update is probably installed.Second, is there a BACKUP folder in the root folder? If so, open the BACKUP folder and search for unpatch.bak. Rename unpatch.bak to unpatch.bat. Double click unpatch.bat and it should open a DOS window. Read what it says and press or to start the process. Once the process is complete, delete the BACKUP folder. If neither of the two above are present, the update may have installed in a different location especially if you physically moved the location of FS2004 to a different location on your hardrive without actually installing to that location. Do you have two copies of FS2004 on your hardrives? If so, check the other copy.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
