Pop-up heading/speed/altitude/VSI display?

As a TrackIR user, I prefer flying from the VC, but the lack of gauge clarity and slow refresh rate on many aircraft can sometimes make handflying a little bit difficult.What would work well for me would be some sort of pop-up panel that can sit at the top or bottom of the screen, with simple digitial readouts for things like heading, speed, altitude and vertical speed. Ideally, this would be very thin and simple, so that the majority of the view can remain on the VC and the scenery. THis would allow me to turn to a particular heading or set a speed without having to zoom in on the VC panel and squinting to see the gauges.The screenshot below has a mock-up of the kind of thing that I think would work well (gray bar at the bottom). I've searched the library, but haven't found anything like this. Does anyone know if such a thing exists?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94693.jpg
