Joystick throttle issues

Hey! I just got I new joystick but I'm having issues with the throttle. I was landing at KORD today with the default 737 when I was just about to touchdown, I pulled the lever on my throttle to go back to idle but it only went to the "UP" position. I also realized that if I push the throttle to full, I wouldn't get full throttle and only about 85-90% throttle. Can someone help?

Oh, and the joystick is a poor one, I know but it is a Thrustmaster 2960623 usb flight stick (That's what it was called when I bought it. Didn't have a straight name)
