FS9.1 glitch? Heading Indicator incorrect message

Recommended Posts

I installed the patch (9.1) a few days ago and continued my ongoing VFR flights in Australia. But now I keep getting the warning message that the Heading Indicator is set incorrectly and to press D. Pressing D does not get rid of the message although, according to the key assignments, that is what D is supposed to do.I checked with my flightsim buddy, who also just installed the patch, and he says he keeps getting the same message.I have not seen any postings to show that anyone else has that problem. It is harmless but annoying.Bill S.

Rename your fs9.cfg to fs9.OLD. Restart FS2004, let it stabilize, make a new flight (don't use a saved flight), press Fly Now!, and see if the problem is corrected. If so, reset you preferences for the new fs9.cfg. If not, delete the new fs9.cfg then rename fs9.OLD to fs9.cfg.You can remove the update to see if it causes the problem. Read the FS9UpdateReadme.rtf for the proper uninstall instructions.W. Sieffert
