Default Dash - Landing Gear

Recommended Posts

Guest recnahne

Hi there!Again a probably completely silly question, but I haven't found a solution yet. I'm a more or less absolute beginner and most of the time I just fly "for fun", as I haven't found the time to get into details yet. I particularly like the "Default Dash-8", but when I finally dared to put the realism settigs to maximum, I couldn't get the landing gear down anymore. Retracting the gear after take-off works fine, but no matter at which alt, airspeed or A/P setting it won't get down anymore.I believe that there is a very simple explanation for this, but as you might have noticed, I'm really lacking the very basics of flying...I'd be glad if someone could help me. Thanks!Greeting,Holger

The model is designed for AI use. When used by the player, the plane has to be rediculously slow for the gear to come down....Like around 95kts or somethin....I suggest downloading some new flight dynamics here in the library....

Open the dash aircraft.cfg file, arrow down to the contact points section and change the Airspeed limit for retraction (KIAS) parameter to a higher number than 100kts. This parameter is incorrectly stated. It should read, "Speed LG extension becomes inhibited (KIAS)". See the FS2004_AircraftContainer_SDK for more information.W. Sieffert
