October 31, 200421 yr Hi Ice,Have you thought about trying to do it yourself? Since the new runway has the same number as the old runway, your approaches should work. Download AFCAD221.zip. If you give it a try and have problems, I will assist you to correct the problems.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
November 1, 200421 yr I do have AFCAD and have made some simple modifacations with it. The problem I have is the fact that the old runway needs to remain as a taxi way and the new runway is placed directly to the West of the old runway.ThanksIce
November 1, 200421 yr In this case, you need to change the taxiway segments (black line) going down the middle of the runway from runway segments to taxiway segments. Select each segment (highlight yellow), right click, select properties, and change Link Type from runway to taxiway. Do this for all the segments, even the segment going back to the blast area.Once you have all the segments changed to taxiway links, you need to move the runway to a new location. Select Lists, runways, select the runway, select properties. You can either insert the new LAT/LON, length, etc. or since the runway is now highlighted (exit all the menus), zoom in, click an hold the mouse button over the runway and drag it to its new location. You will need to update the exact information in the properties boxes after you drag and drop. You will also have to add back a runway taxiway segment(s) to the runway and also make taxiways from the new runway to the rest of the taxiway system. You will need to go back to the old runway segments you made into taxiway segments and change the name to whatever they are calling this taxiway made from the old runway. You'll get the hang of it. Don't be afraid to move something. Use the undo buttons at the top, if something is wrong. If everything gets messed up, exit without saving or save the file periodically with a special name(s). You are not modifying the default scenery file so, it will always be available to start over.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
