The best sold add ons

Featured Replies

Hi all,This piracy discussion brought me to the next question:In this forum we often discuss which aircraft is the best (GA or jets, or bizjets or regional or twin props) but never have I read something about how many commercial add ons, and especially aircraft, have been sold actually. In the automotive business every year figures are presented about the best selling brands and models, but in ours? Does anybody have an idea? Couldn't avsim gather and present this info every year? I would be very interested!Herrie

Hi,this information is kept tightly canned, I

i haven't got the dreamfleet 737but i have go the PMDG one and loads of other payware planes

There you go, I haven't got the Dreamfleet 737 either. I would have thought, when looking through the forums, that the Meridian is one for the top three. It was sold already for FS2002 and is still finding new customers who spread the word. And the PMDG NG of course. These two are generally seen as top of the bill in the forums, but there's a corresponding price tag on it. And being educated long ago as an economist I have to consider that both quality and price determine the quantity sold. So maybe add ons of $ 15 have been sold in much higher quantities than for instance the PMDG NG of 40$. Unfortunately the forums are not in every aspect an objective basis for statistic research .....Herrie
