OPUS "FSXSERVER has stopped working"

Been using OPUS happily for months but today I went to start it and got the FSXSERVER HAS STOPPED WORKING MESSAGE.  I uninstalled older version of OPUS and reinstalled the latest version from 07/19/13 but still getting the same error message.  Also, when I reinstall there is no OPUS icon put onto desktop. Thanks in advance for any help. :)

Solved.  After doing a system restore I had this problem until I went and redownloaded the windows updates.  I guess by restoring to a week earlier I needed to also update the important windows downloads.
