Okay, I found this METAR report at UAAA today and I was stumped. I know some of it, but can't figure out some of the remarks.UAAA 261500Z 19001MPS 1200 R05/P1500D FU FEW200 07/00 Q1016 05CLRD65 TEMPO 1000 FU RMK QFE703/0938...supposedly there is some smoke at FL200? What is the MPS after the wind direction and speed? Plus the R05/P1500D, 05CLRD65?Usually I get these reports but I haven't seen these before.:-shy

MPS - Metres per secondR05/P1500D - Runway 05 RVR 1500 (I forget what the P and D means, I think something to do with the limits of the measuring equipment or whether the vis is going up or down over time)05CLRD65 - No ideaHope this helps,Ian

The October issue of Flying magazine had some readers unloading on poor old Richard Collins over a statement he made that pilots who prefer plain language weather briefings

:-lol Excellent stories, I would have liked to see the face on Richard when he read those replies....as for the sigs., well the very first one I used was indeed hypnotic, but I took it off because of the health hazard it might inflict on the entire sim community. I had a second one also, and this is the third...I had to change because he suggested he was annoyed by it, so I hope this is better to his taste...you know still annoying, but I did change it. :)
