Changing flying characteristics....experiment

Hi all,

I was thinking about changing the way the Virtualcol J31 flies. It is really sloppy with the rudder and the flight dynamics. I currently work in a J31 operator and I looked for a good J31 for FSX but there is nothing besides Virtualcol. Would it be possible to modify the .air file and aircraft.cfg file to make it behave like another aircraft in FSX? Perhaps the J41 or a B200?

I'm not sure where to even begin. 

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.
