October 31, 200421 yr Hi all,Sorry if this is a double post but the first did not appear after hitting the 'Post message' button.Any Scottish members? If so, have you come across what I have dubbed 'fantasy island'?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/96119.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/96120.jpgAs you can see it appears to be a body of land situated a few miles due east of the Forth Estuary. It even comes populated with autogen!I have recently installed Scotflight Scenery ver.2.0c but I am pretty sure that it is not the cause. Disabling either Scotflight or ScotflightLandClass has no effect - the island persists.Just wondering whether others have noted this anomaly and worked out the spell to vanquish it from the sim.Mike
November 1, 200421 yr Author Bumped in the hope that someone (who has not yet spotted this post) has a solution.Mike
November 1, 200421 yr as a partially scottish member myself i would be proud to have what looks like an organic stealth bomber defending us but it's not in my scotland!
November 1, 200421 yr Have you installed any mesh or landclass files(not just Scotland)- - but anywhere? If so try removing it and see if the problem goes away. If not the I would definately be looking at the Scotland stuff you installed- try completely removing (deleting) it rather than just unchecking it in the scenery library.Dave
November 2, 200421 yr Author Hi Dave,Thanks for the advice. I posted in the Scenery Design forum and it appears that this is a common problem, is due to erroneous data in the world landclass data file and can be seen at various places all over the world. Odd I've never come across this before. Anyway, the solution is down to me - I need to learn how to use either Landclass Assistant or EZ-LandClass. Another day another challenge - ah well :)Cheers,Mike
