Try the Renaissance Hotel located on the north side of the field.

Unless it's the same place with a different name (Confound it, I live fifteen minutes away from KATL... I should know this!), there's also the Airport Hilton. Might be kind of pricey, but the airport side looks to have fantastic views.Cheers!Jon

for excellent views of planes when they are approaching on that side would be to make a visit to the college park marta station parking lot, the come in right over your head!!, and its great for pics, im suprised i dont see alot of people taking pics there.
