Is MS going to do something about the video recording/play back feature? Playing back recorded video is very stuttering, and AI planes are not captured either. Is there way to fix this?

Yes, use a 3rd-party program to capture with, like Fraps.

Fraps will not work well at all. I want to record the track (along the lines of Lo-Mac and IL2 mission recording) for future play back using FS9, not just the movie. When playing back a recorded track, you can switch to different camera angles and see what exactly is happening.

If you got a video card with TV OUT you can tape it on VHS. Problem is that the sound from the pc speakers must be connected also otherwise you will only get video and not sound.I think that's a lot cheaper and lighter than running fraps+FS2004.In case you want to distribute your videos on-line go with fraps.Pilot_76.
