August 11, 201312 yr I wonder if any of you FSX afficionados can answer this - I have discovered a problem with the 737 onboard clock. It is reading GMT time instead of the local time where the aircraft is situated. I am in UK, so my computer time is 09:50hrs (DST). I want to fly from Los Angeles, so the time in LAX is 01:50hrs I load in the flight, (so in the menu it states that it is 01:50 local time and 08:50GMT) BUT... when the aircraft appears at the gate in LAX, it is dark outside i.e. it is 01:50, but the aircraft clock says 08:50. The Cessna 172 works correctly, so there must be somewhere in a cfg file that I can tell the 737 which time it should be reading. Can anyone tell me what I have to edit to correct the 737 clock? Thanks Keith
August 11, 201312 yr Author OK, I have now found a post on another site which confirms that the default 737-800 ' s clock only displays GMT time. They get around it by adding a clock from another aircraft. If anyone knows any way to 'adjust' the default clock I'd appreciate it, but in the meantime, thanks to jvile of flightsim forum for this: Quote: 'The default clock in the B737 only reads GMT so we can add a digital LCD clock underneath the B737 clock that reads Local Time only.We get the LCD clock from the Beech Baron and put into the B737 panel. The only drawback to this is the clock will only show in the 2D panel and not the 3D panel.1. Navigate to your ...FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\B737_800\Panel folder2. Open the Panel.cfg file with Notepad and add the following line3. gauge35=Beech_Baron!Clock, 89, 687, 80, 304. after5. gauge34=n_number_plaque!n_number_plaque, 95,731,67,19so it looks like thisgauge34=n_number_plaque!n_number_plaque, 95,731,67,19gauge35=Beech_Baron!Clock, 89, 687, 80, 30The correct Window is the first one listed in the Panel.cfg and looks like the following which has a total of 34 Gauges/ 35 after you add the clock.Window00file_1024=737-800_panel_background.bmpfile_1024_night=737-800_panel_background_night.bmpsize_mm=1024position=7visible=1ident=MAIN_PANELBesure to backup your original Panel.cfg and then save your .cfg so the panel.cfg file will add the additional new clock. If you want to resize the clock to be larger or smaller the 80, is length and 30 is width.I sized the LCD clock so it fits into the screw access panel correctly just under the default B737-800 default clock.'
