SweetFX - Not enabling - "Failed"

Featured Replies

Hi!

Have looked and wondered about trying the SweetFX addon as a replacement for ENB.

I do not have ENB installed at the moment (yes, all files left from ENB is removed).

Downloaded SweetFX 1.4, unzipped it and put all the file in my FSX and keeping the file structure

of the folder i downloaded.

The sim loaded perfectly, but I did not see any difference in my sim. Pushed Scroll Lock to deactivate

it, but it were absolutely no difference unfortunately.

Here is the log I got from SweetFX, and it shows me that there is clearly something wrong, but

I do not have a clue what it can be.

full path: C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\

initiredirecting CreateDXGIFactordevice->GetBackBuffer failed

As you can see from the log, I have installed FSX directly under my C: drive.

I have tried a couple of things, and here is a list so you do not need to

come up with useless tips as it has been done already.

1. Restored Nvidia Inspector to default settings and used FSX built in AA. No difference.

2. I have a custom "skin" installed for FSX. Took in the old one, but no difference.

3. Installed the latest DX, but it told me that i had a newer or the same version installed.

Could it be my Nvidia driver that is just to old? I have a very old one since it is

the one that has worked 100% for me all the time. The version number of the

driver is 267.60, and followed with my GPU, which is a GTX570. If this is the

problem, I will just live without it since I am not changing it

Corsair Vengeance 8GB CL8

Hope that this gives you a clear image of what is going on. Looking forward

to get some tips from you, guys

Have a nice day.
