August 26, 201312 yr Well I am relatively new to scenery designing but I have two important questions. How do you delete autogen AKA trees? How do you re size a gen. building without loosing quality?
August 26, 201312 yr You have to Create an Exclude Rectangle around the auto-gen trees with whatever program your using Once the Exclude Rectangle is created you can save it as a separate BGL and place it within an active Scenery Folder (Example Addon Scenery/Scenery) or simply create a new folder, Example [iCA0_EXC.BGL] within [Folder 1] -Name of Airport [Folder 2] Sub-Scenery Folder then the ICAO_EXC.BGL within that scenery folder of your newly created airport activated using either 1 Your FSX or FS9 Scenery Settings or Any 3rd party Scenery Manager program ]for it and place it in the correct priority the trees will be excluded. I like to use Scenery Config Editor 1,7 Simply my choice there so many out there As far as Re-sizing Buildings im not sure what program your using to create the scenery but With Instant Scenery and Ez Scenery one being from Flight 1 software the other from Abacus you can scale the objects using a slider Note You can also Use SBuilder 2.05 FOR FS2004 or SBuilderX For FSX to exclude Autogen Objects (Both Freeware ) If you use ADE (Airport Design Editor you can use this to delete Generic Buildings along with the Wind Sock and Tower Views Not sure about the trees with ADE but AFX works on trees and i also use Airport Studio from Flight 1 to do this) Refer to Screenshots i provided below for guidance
August 26, 201312 yr Heres an example of what an Exclude rectangle tool looks like in AFX Here it is in Sbuilder Here it is in Instant Scenery
August 26, 201312 yr As far as quality loss when scaling Objects looking at your screenshots it seems like your Global Max Texture settings are real low the texture on your Baron58 is kinda blured our I normally set mines to max secondly i use Instant scenery and Ezscenery prior to that to scale my objects and never experienced quality loss FS9 FSX
August 26, 201312 yr Mine is at medium. (to conserve fps) i use Instant scenery and Ezscenery Any alternatives that are non payware?
August 26, 201312 yr Mine is at medium. (to conserve fps) Any alternatives that are non payware? S-Builder 2.05 and S-builderX for fsx will allow u to Exclude Both completely FREE  http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/downloads.php?do=cat&id=5
August 26, 201312 yr If your referring to Freeware Scenery programs there are many RW12 Object Placer is one of them thats Completely FREE Oops missed that one ^_^ Thats ok im also learning all this stuff as i go along and i have missed many hings when i was starting to ask for advice  B)
August 26, 201312 yr By scenery programs you mean AFX/ Ade- Have them both . But I cant seem to draw Exclusions in ADE (I used AFX)Which worked but the "blurred" bulding is gone.
August 26, 201312 yr By scenery programs you mean AFX/ Ade- Have them both . But I cant seem to draw Exclusions in ADE (I used AFX)Which worked but the "blurred" bulding is gone. Scenery Im refering to Instant Scenery or Ez Scenery ADE and AFX are mainly used to Re-create Afcad Files and Create parking Spot ect ect Moving runways u get the idea lol If the Building is gone try not to create the rectangle around the Building itself and just go for the trees and make sure its actually selecting them when paning the rectangle over it your still having trouble SbuilderX if your using FSX or SBuilder 2.05 for FS9 may work better for you
August 26, 201312 yr Seems like a hard task despite that you cant rotate the exlusions but I will try tommorow morning..... The last paragraph was a bit hard to read.
August 26, 201312 yr The Excluding in ADE didn't work I still got trees and Houses on the tarmac. I set the options to exlude Gen. buildings and library objects  .
August 26, 201312 yr No Need to exclude Buildings in ADE Just delete the Buildings, As far as trees you would have to use S-builder i know AFX works also ive used it once to excluded trees from FS9 never did try it in FSX For Houses and Trees i would use S-BUilder have u tried S-Builder yet? AFX Works for me also
August 26, 201312 yr In Exclude builder u can get it here http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=92 you start up your FS9 or FSX position your aircraft to the North East position where the Objects Are located Example below press Shift+z To get the Log and Lat of that position then go to the south east position from where the Objects end then enter that Lon and LAT Once don Use BLGComp to compile the exclude and done will post a screenshot in a minute
