Wants to go vertical

Featured Replies

Have the Veneaviones Turbo Commander 690B.  CH usb yoke.

Fly's very well except...

On take off, full power, the aircraft lifts early and wants to go vertical.  Gets to 280 KTS very quick.

If throttle to 1/2 is better, but at about 200 ft. wanats to go vertical.  1/4 to 1/3 throttle, can get it up reasonably

but still have to pitch down.

Not a programmer but have read items that seem to say changes in the air.cfg can alter this kind of problem.  True?

Have no idea what to change.  Welcome any tutorial or suggestions.

Too much nose-up trim. I used to fly that quite a bit and as I recall, the best TO trim setting is actually negative (nose-down). Then it behaves fairly reasonably. Probably fixable via the cfg file, but I never got around to investigating. Also the thrust centerline is offset from the pitch axis, so power change has a tendency to cause pitch change. It's most noticeable (and I suspect unrealistic) when you pull off power just before TD.

Thank you.  Tried it.  Little work will make things better.   Maybe someone else has a "permanent" fix.

Ha Ha The same thing used to happen to me.Flight would be going fine then out of the blue plane would go nose up hard sometimes causing a stall. It would be a mad scramble to hit the pitch wheel.I could never figure out what caused it.I stopped using the plane.
