  1. When landing with Nav on, touchdowns at some airports have always been slilghtly off. (Portland is always right) But now others are now also slightly (100 ft.) right. KSEA has always been right on, as is KPHX, and others. Any idea what's up?

  3. Looking for a little insight. Using FS4 with usb Flight Sim Yoke with Win7. Will regularly go out of calibration, though not on every boot of the computer. Don't calaibrate via FS, use the control panel. On going to settings for the driver, the centering control bounces all around on its own. After doing the calibration process, seems to be set up, but on returning to FS aircraft will drift lelft on take off. Once in the air, seems to straighted out for flight, but then falls into drift on landing. If set calibration to default, will sometimes work, sometimes not. ?????? Makes me a little crazy. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  4. Thank you. Tried it. Little work will make things better. Maybe someone else has a "permanent" fix.
  5. Have the Veneaviones Turbo Commander 690B. CH usb yoke. Fly's very well except... On take off, full power, the aircraft lifts early and wants to go vertical. Gets to 280 KTS very quick. If throttle to 1/2 is better, but at about 200 ft. wanats to go vertical. 1/4 to 1/3 throttle, can get it up reasonably but still have to pitch down. Not a programmer but have read items that seem to say changes in the air.cfg can alter this kind of problem. True? Have no idea what to change. Welcome any tutorial or suggestions.
  6. A relative newby and I admit to a lack of experience, but not stupidity. Continuing problem loading aircraft. Download aircraft, try hard to follow directions placing aircraft and its associated components in the folders as instructed, but 99% of the time the aircraft never show up as a choice. Obviously I'm missing something, but I do not know what it is. Appreciate some direction. Thnak you.
  7. Interested in any opinionsexpeiene with Flight 1 software. Looking at both aircraft and scenery. Would appreciate any opinions from more experienced flyers in the forum.
  8. Fly AZ alot and find many significant airports have no frequencies for ILS. Some of these are significant fields and am sure they must have freq in operation. Any recommendations on how to update the FS4 data.
  9. Need some clarification. Am using CH Flight Sim Yoke USB for FS4 and FSX. Works fine when flying however I am constantly (it seems) having to re-calibrate. Mostly this occurrs when opening either program (though not always). Often happens when the program has been open awhile, but not used. Recently saw something in the forum about use of CH Control Manager that seemed to say Manager should be used for calibration, not Windows. Currently Manager is not loaded. Any info or advice greatly appreciated.
  10. I took your advice on FSGenesis. Great. Thank you. I'll take it again.
  11. Looking to improve the FS4 (9) clouds. Tough to sort out all the stuff and not familiar with where to look. Would appreciate any suggestions. Prefer easy load. No code delete/paste, etc. Appreciate any direction.
  12. Thank you both so much. Gonna try it. Allan
  13. Am new to all this and trying to understand the "mesh" concept for improving scenery. Anyone have a minute to explain a little on how this works, i.e. downloading files like FSGenesis, Ultimate Terrain, GEPro, etc. and what you get for your money. Simple? Complex? Dangerous to your files, etc. Thanks. Thanks Allan
  14. Thank you. Did a little research. and obviously need to do more. but am starting to grasp the subject.
  15. With 60% fuel load get following fastest indicated speeds on the 1900D. @ 10,000 ft. 218 KTS = 250 MPH @ 15,000 ft. 214 KTS = 246 MPH FS indicates cruise @ 10,000 to be 300 MPH, (260 KTS) with full load I presume. Have never reached 260 KTS Any ideas why? Makes the trips significanly longer.
