November 25, 201312 yr When landing with Nav on, touchdowns at some airports have always been slilghtly off. (Portland is always right) But now others are now also slightly (100 ft.) right. KSEA has always been right on, as is KPHX, and others. Any idea what's up?
November 25, 201312 yr What do you mean by "landing with Nav on" ? If you are doing an autoland you need to be using radio ILS landing. Peter Schluter
November 25, 201312 yr You may have to adjust the course heading for the ILS. For example, RWY 25 may not be exactly at heading 250. Check the AFD for the correct ILS and runway hdg.
November 25, 201312 yr Many ILS, RW and in the sim, are not aligned perfectly with the runway. The basic purpose of the ILS is to get you to within 200ft AGL, from there you have to land the plane manually. Sometimes this includes turning the plane a few degrees. BTW, very, very few RWY25s in the world are going to be "exactly" 250* magnetic. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
