N60JBravo's post in KBOS airport scenery ILS RWY 15R doesn't line up with RWY was marked as the answer
According to current charts the LOC is offset 1.6 degrees- http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1608/00058ILD15R.PDF
Looking at the files it is only offset 1.2 degrees, so it should be offset more than it is.
If you look at the airport in Google Earth you will see the localizer located next to the runway instead of a more common location at the end of the runway.
The more common location would put it out in the bay, which is why it is where it is.

N60JBravo's post in Animated Jetways not working was marked as the answer
<Entry>
<Key>CTRL+J</Key>
<Down>TOGGLE_JETWAY</Down>
</Entry>
It should be in the...
<SimControls.Map>
<Name>KEYBOARD_MAIN</Name>
...section.
Also, I don't think it matters, try it with the doors closed.

N60JBravo's post in WOAI Uninstaller was marked as the answer
IIRC, if you run the WoAI installer in Expert Mode you can have it completely remove an airline.
For this to work properly you have to do all of the WoAI work within the installer, manually edited/installed packages will not work correctly in Expert Mode.

N60JBravo's post in 2d cockpit goes in spot (Plus other weird things) was marked as the answer
Hmmm, I think you have to install Boxed before you install Steam, not after.
I would try renaming your FSX.cfg and let FSX rebuild it.

N60JBravo's post in Scenery.cfg File error in Scenery Area.144 was marked as the answer
Have you installed the latest Orbx object libraries?
Look in ...\FSX\ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS\SCENERY
Does the folder exist? Are there any .bgl files in it?

N60JBravo's post in Scenery Airport Not Found By Fsx was marked as the answer
This is a simple fix that took me a while to figure out.
There are 2 files...
VOHS_ADEX_V_1.0.bgl
VOHS_ADEX_V_1.0_CVX.bgl
Apparently FSX does not like the 2 periods in the file name.
Change them to...
VOHS_ADEX_V_1-0.bgl
VOHS_ADEX_V_1-0_CVX.bgl
...and the scenery works great.

N60JBravo's post in Water bodies do not line up was marked as the answer
If you are not using photoreal scenery, this is what you get.
With the FS landclass based ground textures there are only so many textures to use so there is no way to align them with water bodies.

N60JBravo's post in How to know when to descend was marked as the answer
((cruise altitude - descend to altitude)/1000)*3=TOD in nm
I am cruising at FL490
Destination IF altitude is 4000'
49,000 - 4,000 = 45,000
45,000/1000 = 45
45*3 = 132
I want to begin my descent no closer than 132 nm from the IF.
Typically I will add 10 nm.

N60JBravo's post in Spot View Vs Locked Sport View was marked as the answer
HotKeySelect=3 equals F11 by default, it is possible that Ezdok changed that.
There are dozens of settings options that don't show up in the Settings.
Go to C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\Controls and open Standard.xml with Notepad.
This file is where FSX stores your keystroke settings.
In Notepad, do a search (Ctrl+F) for F11.
You should find...
<Entry> <Key>F11</Key> <Down>VIEW_CAMERA_SELECT_3</Down> </Entry> If you don't Find the above entry, search for VIEW_CAMERA_SELECT_3 and see what shows up.
If nothing shows up, add the above entry right after...
<SimBase.Document Type="Controls" version="1,0" id="Standard"> <Descr>Controls Mapping File</Descr> <Filename>Standard.XML</Filename> <SimControls.Map> <Name>KEYBOARD_MAIN</Name>
...so it looks like...
<SimBase.Document Type="Controls" version="1,0" id="Standard"> <Descr>Controls Mapping File</Descr> <Filename>Standard.XML</Filename> <SimControls.Map> <Name>KEYBOARD_MAIN</Name> <Entry> <Key>F11</Key> <Down>VIEW_CAMERA_SELECT_3</Down> </Entry> Copy and paste so there are no typos. Close and save changes.
Now test and report back.

N60JBravo's post in FSX Gold question was marked as the answer
That depends on whether you are going to install Acceleration, which is part of FSX Gold.
If you do install Acceleration then no, you do not need to install the SPs.
if you elect not to install Acceleration then you will have to install the Service packs and you can find them in the Avsim Library.

Right-click on the file and look for "Open with..."
Clicking on that will open a box where you will see more options. Select Notepad and make sure there is a check in "always use this for this file type".

N60JBravo's post in Eurocopter EC135T2 from Jan de Boer appears grey was marked as the answer
What is the zip filename and where did you get it?
Most likely an error in the aircraft.cfg.
Does the texture= line match the texture folder?
IE: texture=thisone and texture.thisone
Do you have other liveries that do work? If so, do the filenames for the non-working textures match the working livery?
Without knowing what file you are working with, all we can do is guess.

N60JBravo's post in Terrain.DLL error Semi Solved getting closer please help was marked as the answer
Autogen is not created by a .bgl file, it is created by an .agn file and they are typically located in ...\FS9\Scenery\World\texture.
Look in that folder for files with names that are 13 numbers and have an .agn extension.
If you find them, move them to a temporary folder and test.
If you get no crash add them back in blocks until you pinpoint the bad one(s).
You may have to search your files for .agn files not located in ...\FS9\Scenery\World\texture, but I would start there.

N60JBravo's post in Posky A332 - blue line over front fuselage was marked as the answer
If models are mapped all the way to a texture's edge FS will sometimes pick up a pixel from the opposite side of the texture.
You can easily check this in FSRepaint by painting along the far edge with a distinct color and see if it shows up on the plane.
With that texture it could be either the bottom or the left edge that is causing the issue.

N60JBravo's post in Any way to control each engine with different keyboard button? was marked as the answer
Backup your FS9.cfg before making the following edits.
Find these entries in the [KEYBOARD_MAIN] section.
(These are the default entries, they may be different if you have changed those assignments from default.)
THROTTLE_FULL=115,8
THROTTLE_INCR_SMALL=114,8
THROTTLE_DECR=113,8
THROTTLE_CUT=112,8
Change them to...
THROTTLE1_DECR=112,8
THROTTLE1_INCR=114,8
THROTTLE2_DECR=113,8
THROTTLE2_INCR=115,8
Save your changes and test.
