Scenery Airport Not Found By Fsx

This is really driving me stupid...

I downloaded the below scenery and installed it right.. it is for Rajiv Gandhi International in India, - VOHS

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=183406

1. Installed the scenery

2. Added the scenery from the Scenery Library and activated - all correctly..

3. The priority is set to highest with respect to all..

Still when i go to the Airport window and search using Airport ID - VOHS, the scenery is not found. Nothing comes up for VOHS...

I get no messages, no CFG error and I can clearly see the scenery being added from the Scenery library window...

Any guess what could be the reason that even after adding a scenery successfully, it doesn't show up in the Airport window?

Regards,

Make sure you followed this guidance - http://forum.avsim.net/topic/265677-how-to-add-addon-scenery-in-windows-7/.

Best to follow the instructions in the README file.  This is Not a scenery but an AFCAD to

enhance the taxi ways, etc.  It does not add that airport to your airport window.

1. Extract the files "FSX_VOHS_ADEX_V1.0.bgl" & "FSX_VOHS_ADEX_V1.0_CVX.bgl" into "\Addon Scenery\scenery" folder.
2. Extract the files from Zip folder\Global\scenery to your "FSX....\Global\scenery".
3. Extract the files from Zip folder\Global\texture to your "FSX....\Global\texture".
4. Restart FSX, go to VOHS and enjoy

OK, i tried that download and you are correct that it does not show in the lists of airports for India.

I went over to Flightsim.com and got this down and tried it.  It puts Rajiv Gandhi Intl Airport

into the lists.

VOHS now exists!

This is a simple fix that took me a while to figure out.

There are 2 files...

VOHS_ADEX_V_1.0.bgl

VOHS_ADEX_V_1.0_CVX.bgl

Apparently FSX does not like the 2 periods in the file name.

Change them to...

VOHS_ADEX_V_1-0.bgl

VOHS_ADEX_V_1-0_CVX.bgl

...and the scenery works great.

Joe
