November 9, 200421 yr After days of finally fixing my CTDs (I learned a lot, some things I discovered only by incidence, but now my sim runs smooth like a baby's arse), I'm wondering if the scenery anomalies I have are normal:I use R. Taburets 38m Mesh for USA and Alaska, and I have the MyWorld2004 landclass installed as well. After years of driving the 'big iron', I'm currently in the 'bushflyer stage' and like to fly here and there in Alaska. At many places, things look very weird: autogen trees are spread all over the runways, some runways are partially hidden behind mountains (!), and at some places there are lakes on plateaus standing out of the landscape hundreds of feet. Not to mention that some mountains are practically 'cut off' by a stream, thus forming steep and high cliffs. Is this only a consequence of using the 3rd party mesh? Is there anything I can do against these anomalies (e.g. when I start the flight, in some situations the aircraft is placed directly over a tree, so after loading I have an immediate crash...).The scenery looks very interesting and is interesting to fly in, but I'd rather have things more realistic...Andreas Andreas, LOWW - Nihil sumus et fuimus mortales. However I have all of Raimondo's AK and US mesh and have no problems .Have you perhaps had other mesh in the past and not removed it all?Might be as well to check for any "unusual" bgls remaining from past installs( Not neccessarily USA/AK- bad mesh can produce problems hundreds or even thousands of miles away)Dave
November 9, 200421 yr Author I re-installed FS several times over the last two weeks. It's cleaner now than I ever had it before (no left-overs, too much scenery etc.).If you say bgls can cause troubles in other areas: I have some more mesh installed and activated, so I'm gonna see what happens if I disable all but the Taburet mesh...Thank you, anyway.Andreas Andreas, LOWW - Nihil sumus et fuimus mortales.
