November 10, 200421 yr Hello.,Is this at all possible? I recall a similar request being made a while ago, and someone whom i believe works for MS, and is a regular visitor to this forum, said that this would be OK. Unfortunately this was never followed up, as far as i know.I am sure i could write a reasonable add-on (with the help of a couple of friends!), to change the current lightweight joystick forces into something much heavier and, hence, more REALISTIC for flying heavies and medium range jets.PLEASE HELP!RegardsDan
November 10, 200421 yr Author Have you downloaded the FS2004_Aircraftcontainer_SDK - http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimul...rcraftcontainerIt provides the only interface to the FFB in the aircraft.cfg file.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
November 14, 200421 yr Thanks very much for the reply.I changed the feedback on ground just going into aircraft.cfg andraising the numbers. Forces were excellent!Unfortunately as soon as the wheels leave the ground all force feedback is gone (i.e back to MS default).Real shame, i am not a professional programmer but could implement this fairly easily, but it is looking impossible as it seems to me MS have removed all force feedback as soon as the aeroplane leaves the runway. Even the SDK code wont help.I've noticed that Microsoft has come in for a lot of stick over the internet about this.Please., MS SORT THIS OUT it surely isn't that difficult! Dan.

November 15, 200421 yr Thanks for that link., appreciate it.There is an option to download latest driver V4 for certain joysticks., but i very much doubt this will have any impact on feedback forces in any way.It seems that my original concern is correct that the only feedback forces available to a 3rd party are GROUND, BUMP, GEAR and CRASH, which would be great if FS9 was a car racing simulator.I would guess that literally thousands of people have bought expensive joysticks that will not function properly because of the aforementioned reasons. All I can do is kindly ask that Microsoft consider this problem in the future.CheersDan :-)
