November 13, 200421 yr Hi Guys,I was wondering if anyone might know what it will take to keep the water wakes generated by a floatplane during power application from floating up into the sky. When I takeoff from the water I get two solid white lines of water wake emerging from the surface mist that float up into the sky behind the aircraft before they eventually dissapate. all replies appreciatedThanksDave
November 13, 200421 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Dave,I don't have time right now to check in detail but you're probably using a floatplane with an effect written for FS2002, such as "fx_waterland.fx" (it's defined in the EFFECTS section of the aircraft.cfg).If I remember correctly the problem is with the TempK= and TempRate= parameters in the various "ParticleAttributes" sections of the .fx file. Load the fx file in Wordpad and anything that's NOT at TempK=109.00 and TempRate=0.01, replace with these values, or comment those two lines out with a ";" or "//" in front (obviously, make a backup copy before doing any changes).Hope that helps. Cheers, Holger
