Engine won't shut down

When I execute the shutdown checklist and move the engine cutout lever to cutout the engine stays running. Engine 1 shuts down just fine. What am I doing wrong?

Try shutting down engine 2 first, see if that makes a difference.  Otherwise you are shutting down correctly.
